If you just want the cliffsnotes version, here it is:

1. Scale everything to 720p

2. Use Game Capture

3. Use Stream Elements

4. Use Static Assets

5. Use Good Lighting

6. Use Hardware Encoding

7. Lower Your Camera Resolution

One thing to note, if you do switch to hardware encoding, restart your computer for it to take effect.
